Khush hu mai aaj ye saara jag jaanta hai
Is khushi ka gujra kal kaun jaanta hai
Vaade aur kasme jo reh gaye mere tut ke
Un khawabo ko pura krne wala pal kyu nhi aata hai


Virane me aksar dil use pukarta hai
Un lamho ko fir jeena chahta hai
bahon me lekar tujhe paana chahta hai par
Un khawabo ko pura krne wala pal kyu nhi aata hai


Khubsurat hoon mai yeh saara zamana kehta hai
Meri har ek ada pe bhi yeh marta hai
Magar mere haal-e-dil ko kaun jaanta hai aur
Un khawabo ko pura krne wala pal kyu nhi aata hai
